Red Haven
ActivePrunus persica (L.) Batsch · Peach
Stat Exp South Haven (US)
10 August 2026
The variety forms large fruits with an average weight of about 300 g. The fruit flesh is white, firm, and juicy; the sugar content is about 12 °Brix. Due to the firm structure, the fruits have good keeping quality and transportability. The harvest in Korea is collected at the end of August.
The plant is characterized by high productivity. One of the key biological features is the genetically determined "stony hard" trait, in which fruits retain their hardness on the tree for a long time due to the lack of ethylene production. The variety shows some resistance to brown rot (Monilinia spp.).
