The plant is an interspecific hybrid of Prunus salicina and Prunus persica. It is intended for use as a root system onto which other varieties are grafted and is not grown for the production of commercial fruit.
The plant has red leaves and pink ornamental flowers. When used as a rootstock, it contributes to reducing the crown size of the grafted tree to approximately 35% of the size of a tree on a standard rootstock.
It is propagated vegetatively by cuttings or micropropagation. When using the hybrid as a rootstock, incompatibility with certain peach varieties is possible.
