The variety belongs to interspecific hybrids obtained as a result of crossing cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera) and peach (Prunus persica). This variety is commercially marketed as part of the Metis hybrid group.

In reference materials on fruit crop phenology, the variety is characterized as early. In the Emilia-Romagna region, Italy, its ripening period occurs 10 days earlier relative to control plum varieties.
