Variety description

10 August 2026

Pina variety is characterized by very late flowering and maturation, which allows for maximum extension of the growing season for organic matter accumulation. The plant exhibits rapid development in the initial stages and forms a powerful taproot system, which effectively loosens the soil and absorbs residual nitrogen.

The plant possesses type 2 resistance to beet cyst nematode, allowing it to reduce the pest population by up to 85%. The variety is not winter hardy and is used as a green manure cover crop to improve soil structure, protect against erosion, suppress weeds, and control nematodes in crop rotations with sugar beet.
