The variety is early-maturing, with the period from emergence to harvest ranging from 21 to 35 days. The leaf rosette is upright, up to 22 cm tall. The roots are elongated ("icicle" shape), 10–12 cm long, with white skin and flesh color.
The flesh of the roots is crisp, mild or piquant in taste. The plant is suitable for cultivation in open field and film greenhouses. The variety is traditional and is known in Europe by many synonyms, including "Eiszapfen" and "Icicle".
