The Structurator variety belongs to the Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus group and is intended exclusively for agrotechnical purposes, not for human consumption. The plant is valued as a fast-growing catch crop that contributes to effective weed control and biomass accumulation.
The powerful taproot of the variety is capable of penetrating the soil to a depth of more than 50–70 cm, breaking up the plow pan. In winter, the plant freezes out, leaving deep channels in the soil, which helps to improve aeration, increase water permeability, and promote overall soil structure health.
