The Kolibri variety is used in official testing guidelines as a reference for describing spots in the throat of the flower that do not touch each other. No other detailed morphological information about this variety is available in open reference books.
In registers of mutant varieties, there are types named Kolibri Blau, Kolibri Gelb, and Kolibri Orange obtained by radiation mutagenesis, however, the exact origin of the Kolibri variety as an independent breeding achievement is not documented.
According to the results of scientific publications on the assessment of resistance to late blight, the Kolibri variety showed susceptibility to the pathogen Phytophthora ramorum under artificial inoculation.
