The variety is a descendant of a large-fruited variety of Ribes rubrum. The bush is weakly vigorous, about 90–100 cm tall, has a spreading, loose form, and low shoot-forming ability from the root collar.
The berries are red and medium-sized. A distinctive feature of the variety is the very long clusters. There is susceptibility of flower buds to winter frosts; however, the variety is suitable for cultivation in home gardens and container culture.
