The plant is vigorous, forming a bushy, slightly flattened crown with large dark green leaves. The variety is late-maturing, with berry ripening usually occurring at the end of July.

Clusters are dense, cylindrical in shape, and of great length. Berries are medium-sized, spherical, light red with a sheen, and have a sharp sour taste. Ripening of berries within a single cluster occurs unevenly.

The variety was widely used in commercial gardening as a reliable crop with high yield. The variety's produce is considered versatile, but is most in demand as a raw material for processing.
