The variety belongs to the late-ripening group; harvesting begins at the end of July. The plant forms an upright bush. The bright red berries are gathered in very long clusters and have a long stalk, which facilitates harvesting. The taste of the fruit is sour; the variety is suitable for making jelly.

The variety is self-fertile and does not require pollinators. It possesses good disease resistance and frost resistance down to -20°C. It is used in horticulture as a fruit crop.
