Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant has a rounded, semi-open, or spreading crown 3–8 meters wide. Leaves are pinnate, light green, turning yellow in the autumn period. The variety is practically thornless, which distinguishes it from many other representatives of the genus.

Flowering occurs in May–June. Large fragrant flowers of a deep pink-red or violet-pink shade are gathered into pendulous racemes; inside the flower, there is a yellowish-greenish spot. The fruit is a glabrous brown pod 5–9 cm long.

The tree possesses resistance to heat, drought, and frosts down to -23...-28 °C (hardiness zone 5). Branches are strong and flexible, wind-resistant. The variety is suitable for cultivation on various types of soils, including sandy, loamy, and calcareous, and can be used as a honey plant.
