The flowers are very large, deeply double, contain 55–75 petals, have a cupped shape and a deep golden-yellow color. The fragrance is strong, tea-type with hints of strawberry and Sauternes wine.

The shrub is rounded in shape with arching, nodding shoots, reaching a height of 1.2–1.5 m, or up to 1.8–2.5 m in hot climates, where it can be used as a short climbing rose. The variety is repeat-flowering; blooming occurs in waves from early summer until autumn.

The plant is relatively resistant to diseases but susceptible to black spot. Suitable for group and solitary plantings, containers, and cultivation on supports.
