The variety belongs to the miniature rose group and was obtained by crossing a seedling with the variety Tornado and the variety Trumpeter. The flowers are of classic cupped shape, red in color, numbering about 40 petals; descriptions sometimes mention a pink hue and a yellow-white center. The plant is characterized by the absence of or faint fragrance and a spreading shrub form.
Flowering occurs in waves throughout the season. The variety possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and black spot, and the foliage is characterized by good health. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 6.
