Multic is classified as a rootstock intended for grafting cultivated rose varieties. It was the subject of breeding work at the Department of Horticulture of Wageningen Agricultural University and was used in experiments on the industrial greenhouse cultivation of roses.

The use of this rootstock can stimulate high productivity of the scion; however, in some cases, this occurred to the detriment of flower quality. The plant is susceptible to infestation by the nematode Pratylenchus vulnus, which leads to a decrease in growth and flower production metrics.

Mother plantations of this rootstock were prone to viral infections, which required the use of thermotherapy methods for elimination. Plant height and vegetation period characteristics for Multic are absent, as they are determined by the scion.
