The variety belongs to the Rosa rugosa hybrid group, and is also classified as a shrub or landscape rose. The plant forms a vigorous, branching, upright or spreading shrub 1 to 2 meters in height with heavily thorned shoots.

The foliage is large, dark green, matte, and distinctly wrinkled. The flowers are cup-shaped, yellow, fading to cream as they age. The flowers are medium-sized, semi-double or double, clustered 1–8 per stem, and possess a fruity or moderate musky fragrance.

The variety is remontant; flowering continues from early summer until frost, and decorative fruit formation is possible in autumn. The plant is characterized by high resistance to powdery mildew and black spot, as well as high winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -34...-40 °C.
