The variety «Põhjavalgus», which translates from Estonian as "Northern Lights", belongs to the Hybrid Tea group. The variety was developed by the well-known Estonian breeders Uno Kivistik and Aili Kivistik.

The plant is included in registries and collections of Estonian bred roses; in particular, it is represented in the rose garden of Panga farm and in the Tallinn Botanical Garden. Detailed data on the morphological characteristics or resistance of the variety are absent in available sources.
