The Tanaraelc variety, known under the trade name Clear Ocean, is an upright shrub approximately 110 cm tall and 60 cm wide with bright green glossy foliage. The flowers are large, double, white in color with a possible cream tint; young buds may have a pinkish-peach flush in the center. The flowers are borne singly on strong stems and have a light sweet fragrance.

The variety is repeat-flowering and maintains its ornamental qualities throughout the season. It has moderate resistance to diseases and winter hardiness corresponding to USDA zone 6. It is distinguished by the density of the flowers and suitability for cutting.
