ActiveRubus idaeus L. · Red raspberry
Vinson Peter Edward
10 August 2026
The variety is a hybrid of red and black raspberry. The plant is vigorous, requiring mandatory trellising due to lodging canes. The canes have small soft prickles and propagate by tip layering, without producing root suckers.
Fruiting typically occurs in July–August. The variety possesses good winter hardiness and natural immunity to a number of fungal diseases. The firm, round-shaped berries do not shatter upon ripening and have a distinct wine-like flavor.
