The variety is a vigorous bush 1.5 to 3 meters tall with arched canes covered in thorns. The root system is powerful and does not produce root suckers. The fruits, weighing 3–5 g, are black with a waxy bloom, rounded in shape, and have a sweet taste with tart notes.

The plant belongs to summer varieties fruiting on second-year canes, with a yield of up to 4–5 kg per bush. The variety shows resistance to powdery mildew but is susceptible to anthracnose. Winter hardiness is rated as high; the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and processing.
