Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a sibling of the Glen Ample variety, obtained as a result of a breeding program involving lines SCRI 7326E1 and SCRI 7412H16. Its genealogy includes the Glen Prosen and Meeker varieties.

The plant has vigorous growth and forms upright, thornless canes. The variety is mid-season: ripening occurs 7–10 days later than the Glen Clova variety, depending on the growing region.

The variety has genetic resistance to cane botrytis, cane blight, raspberry bushy dwarf virus, and most strains of the aphid Amphorophora idaei, but shows susceptibility to root rot and cane spot.

The berries are characterized by firmness and good transportability. The variety was developed with a focus on the possibility of mechanical harvesting and subsequent processing.
