The variety was bred in England through selection from hybrids of the varieties Newburgh and Lloyd George × Pyne's Royal. The plant is vigorous, reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 meters. The bush is upright, with numerous thorny canes that require support.

Fruiting occurs in July on two-year-old canes. The berries have a broad-conical or elongated-conical shape, a light red color with a glossy finish, a sweet-tart taste, and a raspberry aroma. The variety has medium transportability and is suitable for fresh consumption and processing.

The plant is winter-hardy, withstanding temperature drops down to -30°C. It has good resistance to major diseases, however, it shows sensitivity to Didymella and certain viral diseases, including mosaic.
