The Inge variety belongs to commercial violets bred by Arnold Fischer and is included in the Ballet series. The plant is intended for mass cultivation and sale as a flowering indoor crop.

In scientific publications, the variety was used to study the effect of light regime on the process of flower stalk initiation and flowering. The plant is capable of almost continuous flowering; however, the process is highly dependent on light intensity, with a deficiency slowing down flowering.

The variety is sensitive to growing conditions, including water temperature. In agrotechnics, bottom watering is recommended to prevent moisture from getting on the leaves.
