The variety is a compact, densely branched shrub with a rounded crown shape, reaching a height of 30–36 cm and a width of 36–41 cm. The foliage of the plant is evergreen.
Flowering of bright blue or blue-violet flowers continues from early spring until the first hard frosts. The variety attracts pollinators such as hummingbirds and butterflies.
