The variety is characterized by high productivity in the first year of vegetation and the ability to yield about 30 c/ha of dried herb. The herb of the variety contains about 1.4% essential oil.
The plants are predominantly bisexual, which ensures good seed set with a yield of up to 500 kg per hectare. The variety demonstrates suitability for mechanized harvesting and increased resistance to abiotic stresses.
The plant is used as medicinal and essential oil raw material. In scientific papers, the Bona variety is often used as reference material for research, including experiments on in vitro micropropagation.
