The variety «Тайган» is entered into the State Register of Plant Varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine. Information about a variety named «Тайхан» is absent from official registers and agronomic publications; it is assumed that this name is an erroneous transliteration or a coincidence with other objects.

The variety «Тайган» is used in scientific research aimed at studying the influence of plant density, application of mineral fertilizers, and tillage methods on the yield of clary sage under irrigation conditions in the steppe zone of Ukraine. Detailed morphological characteristics of the variety are limitedly presented in open sources.
