The variety is a bushy plant with lanceolate serrated leaves of green color and stems of a greenish-purple shade. Intensely colored flowers are collected in short dense spicate inflorescences.
The plant blooms in late spring and flowers until early summer. When pruning faded inflorescences, re-blooming is possible. The variety is distinguished by being low-maintenance and capable of withstanding temperature drops down to -20°C.
