Mountain savory is a perennial subshrub reaching a height of 30–40 cm. Its key difference from summer savory is its ability for perennial growth, the presence of lignified stems, and specific requirements for overwintering conditions.

The name “krajova” in this context indicates not an official variety, but a local (regional) population. The plant possesses a high content of essential oils and is used in medicine and cooking, especially in the preparation of legume dishes.
