The plant forms rosettes of basal leaves. The flowers have a light pink color with a yellow center and an irregular shape of petals of varying length. Flowering of the variety occurs in September and October.
The variety is classified as a low-growing perennial plant with a height of 10 to 30 cm. Frost resistance is down to -23 °C (USDA zone 6). The plant prefers partial shade or diffused light, as well as moist, organic-rich, well-drained soils with an acidic reaction.
