The plant forms dense clumps or upright stems with a height of 40 to 80 cm. The inflorescences are heads of a characteristic cream-yellow or pale yellow shade.

The flowering of the variety is usually prolonged, lasting from June to September-October. The plant is undemanding, well-adapted to dry, stony, and poor soils, requires a sunny location, and possesses good winter hardiness.
