The variety forms a compact branching bush in the shape of a hemisphere or sphere with a height of 10 to 35 cm. Shoots are flexible, trailing, with dark green fleshy leaves of spatulate shape with a serrated edge. The flowers have a diameter of 3.5–4 cm and a violet-blue color.
The plant is drought-tolerant and heat-loving, however, it is sensitive to excessive moisture, which causes root diseases. Flowering continues from May to October. In temperate climates, it is grown as an annual in hanging planters, balcony boxes, or as a groundcover crop.
