The plant is characterized by long phylloclades and a significant quantity of third-order phylloclades. The flower has a white color with a thin pink edge, which widens as it ages, or petals of a light violet shade with carmine-red sepals and a yellowish-orange throat.
The variety is a pot-grown decorative crop. In breeding, the variety was used to obtain the hybrid "A.J.S. McMillan" by crossing with the variety "Ilona".
