The diploid winter rye hybrid KWS Bono is characterized by plant heights ranging from 96 to 142 cm and medium development rates. The variety possesses high resistance to lodging and major cereal diseases, including powdery mildew, with medium resistance to brown rust. The use of PollenPlus technology ensures intensive pollen shedding, which increases resistance to ergot infection.
The hybrid is universal in its purpose. The grain is used in the food industry for the production of 1st-class baking flour, as well as feed raw material for livestock. Technical applications include malt production, use in distilling, and as raw material for biogas production.
