The variety possesses allelopathic properties due to the release of specific substances, benzoxazinoids, which suppress the development of certain species of broadleaf and grass weeds. The plant is characterized by a high capacity for biomass formation.

In agronomic research, the variety is studied in the context of sustainable agroecosystems, in particular during soil preparation before corn sowing. Trials on the physiological responses of the plant to anoxia conditions in comparison with other cereal crops have also been conducted.
