The variety is a diploid plant approximately 121 cm tall. It is characterized by a late flowering period and very rapid soil coverage rates, which contributes to weed suppression. The root system of the variety is deeply penetrating and intensively developed.

The plant is resistant to lodging and a number of diseases, and also possesses the ability to effectively reduce nematode populations in the soil. Due to its high organic mass yield and protective properties, the variety is used as a green manure, suitable for late autumn sowing.
