The Seco variety belongs to a group of varieties of German breeding and is included in official agricultural crop catalogs. Genetically, the variety is related to a group of varieties including Semper, Setoria and Sigri.

It is used primarily for research purposes when studying the effect of white mustard crops on soil nitrogen, as well as for evaluating root system size and biomass productivity. Detailed morphological and agrotechnical characteristics of the variety are not presented in open sources.
