The Scout variety is intended for the control of beet cyst nematode in crop rotations with sugar beet. Late flowering allows the plant to remain in the vegetative phase for longer and efficiently accumulate biomass without transitioning to generative development.

The combination of late flowering and rapid initial growth provides high flexibility for sowing. The variety has an average lodging resistance score according to the results of official trials.
