The variety is a tall indeterminate plant reaching 1.2–2.0 meters in height, requiring staking and lateral shoot removal. Ripening periods vary from mid-early to mid-late, ranging from 75–110 days.

Fruits are flat-round, slightly ribbed, turning red-brown when ripe, and often have greenish "shoulders". The pulp is multi-chambered, fleshy, with a small number of seeds.

The plant is adapted to cool growing conditions and is capable of setting fruit at low temperatures. The primary use is for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into juices and sauces.
