An Italian heirloom from the Ponente region. The plant is characterized as vigorous and productive, requiring staking due to its growth vigor. The fruits are for universal use, possess a fleshy and dense consistency, have a heart-shaped or obcordate shape, and a deep red color.
The variety possesses high resistance to tomato mosaic virus (strains 0, 1), tomato spotted wilt virus, and verticillium wilt. Intermediate resistance to tomato leaf curl virus and a number of bacterial diseases is also noted.
