The variety is a selection of the classic Marmande type. The plant reaches a height of 1.2–1.5 meters and requires mandatory staking and supports due to its high productivity and large fruit size.
The period from transplanting to ripening is 70–80 days. The fruits are red, flattened in shape with pronounced ribbing at the stem, weighing from 150–200 to 400 grams with dense, fleshy pulp.
The variety is an heirloom, not a hybrid, which allows the use of one's own seeds for planting. The plant is demanding of consistent watering, as fruit cracking is prone to occur if irrigation is irregular.
