Rondello tomato is an indeterminate hybrid with an unlimited growth habit. The fruits reach a diameter of 5 to 10 cm and have a weight of 120–140 g.

The variety is intended for industrial use, including processing. It can be grown in protected ground using hydroponic systems, such as the nutrient film technique (NFT), as well as in open ground. The plant is often used in scientific research on tomato physiology and metabolism.
