The eggplant variety Amurg is a local Romanian variety, which is used in professional breeding as a reference for comparison with other samples. The plant is intended for cultivation in open field conditions, as well as in plastic greenhouses and tunnels.
The variety possesses confirmed tolerance to such pathogens as Verticillium dahliae and Pseudomonas solanacearum under natural infection conditions. The fruits of the variety are characterized by good taste qualities.
