The Aydin (Aydin Siyahi) variety is early-maturing, with a ripening period of up to 80 days. The vigorous, tall plant is characterized by good leaf cover and low requirements for growing conditions.
The fruits have a dark purple color, an elongated cylindrical shape, a length of 25–30 cm, and a mass of 200–300 g. The white, firm flesh is not bitter and does not darken for a long time during processing.
The variety possesses high yield, a long fruiting period, and good transportability. The purpose of the fruits is universal: they are suitable for frying, baking, canning, and fresh consumption.
