In some scientific publications devoted to the disease resistance of Solanaceae, the Hadrian variety is described as a greenhouse eggplant hybrid. The fruits of this genotype are characterized by a dark purple color, a length of 22–25 cm, and an average weight of about 200 g.
There is no data confirming that this variety belongs to the breeding program of De Ruiter Seeds. In a number of cases, the mention of the name Hadrian in the context of eggplants is mistakenly confused with a celery variety or laboratory genetic lines.
