The variety was obtained by crossing lines AR 01-3218 x ALMERA. Tubers are characterized by light pink skin and bright yellow flesh. The variety is distinguished by high yield and good storage capacity.

The plant possesses resistance to golden nematode (Ro 1,4) and a number of viral diseases, while resistance to foliage and tuber late blight is rated as medium. The variety belongs to the floury culinary type (BC) with low water content.

Due to high starch content, the variety is recommended for preparing gnocchi, mashed potatoes, and baking. It is also suitable for frying and preparing chips or french fries.
