The hybrid is characterized by high drought tolerance, resistance to lodging and diseases, and also possesses resistance to aphid biotypes A and C. Increased cold tolerance is noted during the initial stages of development.

The grain has a starchy endosperm, a thousand kernel weight of about 28.0 g, and a high protein content (about 14.0%) and starch content (about 74.0%). The produce is distinguished by excellent milling ability and is easily threshed.
