The stems of the variety contain sucrose, with a refractometric sugar content of approximately 15–17%. Due to these characteristics, the plant is suitable for producing high-quality silage.

In field trials, the variety demonstrates high yields of green mass. Studies are also evaluating the potential of using the stem juice and bagasse of this variety as raw material for bioethanol production.
