Variety description

The Traverse variety (Traverse F1) is a mid-early spinach hybrid with an upright growth type. The leaves are oval or round in shape, the surface is semi-savoy, and the color varies from medium-green to medium-dark-green. Medium-length petioles facilitate mechanical harvesting.
The plant is characterized by high resistance to downy mildew (races 1–16, 19) and intermediate resistance to races 17 and 18, as well as moderate resistance to leaf spot (Stemphylium). The variety is intended for open field cultivation during the spring-summer and autumn periods, including for baby-leaf production.
