In historical materials on mutation breeding of Streptocarpus, the variety «Nicky» is mentioned as a result of breeding work. According to data from old gardening catalogs, the plant reaches a height of about 15 centimeters and has small bright red flowers.

Available publications lack confirmation of any connection between this variety and the breeding work of Gerhard Fleischle. The name «Nicky» is also found in variety names of other plant species, such as dahlia and phlox paniculata, as well as in the names of commercial seed sales companies.
