The variety is a spreading, medium-sized shrub reaching a height of 2.5–3 meters. The leaves are heart-shaped or broadly ovate, smooth, dark green in color, and 5–12 cm long.

The flowers are simple, fragrant, and gathered into large, lush, candle-shaped inflorescences. The flower color varies from purple and magenta to soft pinkish-lilac or lilac-violet.

Flowering occurs in May. The variety adapts well to various soil types, possesses high frost resistance (down to –40°C), and is suitable for solitary or group ornamental plantings, as well as for cut flowers.
