The variety belongs to the S VI group according to the international classification. The flowers are simple, with a red-purple (magenta) hue that becomes more scarlet as they fade. The inflorescences are loose, airy, and elegant.

The plant is characterized by a spreading habit and can reach a height of 3.5–4 meters. The variety blooms in mid-season, usually from May to early June. It is noted for its high frost resistance (down to -40°C) and resistance to diseases.

It is used in ornamental landscaping as a specimen plant or as part of accent groups. In a number of sources, it may be mentioned under the synonym «Zhmurka».
